The city of Toulouse has announced the introduction of a nighttime curfew for minors under 16 years old during certain high-risk World Cup matches. The curfew will be applied with discretion from 10 PM to 5 AM, for minors under 16 years old who are not accompanied by an adult in a designated area of the city center, said Jean-Luc Moudenc, the mayor of Toulouse. The curfew will be in effect during the matches of the French team, Brazil-Morocco, Scotland-Morocco, Morocco-Haiti and Tunisia-Netherlands. The mayor of Toulouse justified his initiative by the disturbances and vandalism that occurred in Toulouse after the Paris-SG's victory in the Champions League final. The measure aims to protect citizens and minors, said the mayor, highlighting an increase in juvenile delinquency in the 4th city of France. He also announced a fan zone on the parvis of the Stadium, the stadium of Toulouse Football Club (TFC), with a capacity of 18,000 people, from the quarterfinals, on the nights of the matches of the French team.
