Olympique Lyonnais (OL) is preparing for a major turnover before its most important match of the season, Wednesday against Fenerbahçe, in the Champions League. OL drew 1-1 with Fenerbahçe in the first leg, and the return leg, which would open the door to the Champions League, could bring a minimum of €23 million. This qualification would also increase the value of the club’s players for future seasons, provided they perform well.

Before this return leg, OL must manage its away game in Toulouse on Saturday at 20:45. The club plans to rotate its squad, giving opportunities to new signings and youth academy players. Paulo Fonseca, who wore the black jersey in the first leg, could be a key element of this turnover.

J.-B. Autissier of L'Équipe highlighted that OL must stay focused on qualification above all, even if a turnover is considered. The match in Toulouse will be an opportunity to test new players and prepare the team for the return against Fenerbahçe.

The club therefore has two main objectives: secure Champions League qualification and prepare a renewed squad for upcoming competitions.
